About me

Writing about life, the Bible, and big questions. Pictured with my daughter—my why. Let’s grow this journey together!
Hey, I’m Mike Fossing
Welcome to my slice of the internet—a place where faith, life, and hard questions meet. I’m not here with all the answers or a perfect life to show off. Instead, I’m inviting you into the real stuff: my journey of digging into the Bible, facing personal battles, and trying to live out what I believe in a world that often feels like it’s spinning off its axis.
My Story in a Nutshell
Life’s thrown me some curveballs—financial lows that hit hard, doubts that creep in when I least expect them, and the sting of knowing I’ve let down people I care about. But through every mess, I’ve found something steady: the Bible. It’s not just words on a page; it’s a lifeline. Principles like praying for those who hurt you or submitting to authority (even when it’s flawed) have shaped me in ways I never saw coming.
I’m a husband, blessed with a wife who’s my rock through every storm. Together, we’re chasing dreams, learning as we go, and leaning on faith when the numbers don’t add up. I’m amazed daily by the love and patience I’m surrounded with—it keeps me going.
What I Write About
Here’s what you’ll find on this site:
- What Really Faith Is: How do you live out biblical ideas—like loving your enemies or honoring leaders—in today’s chaos? I’m working it out one post at a time.
- Raw Reflections: From staring at a bank account about to hit zero to celebrating the small wins of staying faithful, I’m sharing the highs and lows.
- Big Questions: Why suffering? How do we obey imperfect systems? I don’t dodge the tough stuff—let’s wrestle with it together.
Why I Do This
The Bible’s my standard—not because I’m perfect, but because its truth is unmatched. It calls us to things that sound crazy: pray for persecutors, find peace in trials, honor the dishonorable. I write to unpack that wisdom in a way that’s honest and real, whether you’re a Christian, a skeptic, or just curious.
Stick Around
If you’re up for it, join me on this messy, hopeful ride. Got a question or a story of your own? Reach out—I’d love to hear from you. We’re all figuring this out together.
